John “Hench” Murray ’62
John “Hench” Murray '62 has included GA as a beneficiary in his estate plan. A tenured educator himself, most recently as the head of the Woodlynde School, Murray has a first-hand perspective of the operational goals and needs of an independent school. Through that experience he is uniquely qualified to recognize the vitality of giving back both on the short and long term.
“Philanthropic support is crucial at a school like Germantown Academy. Schools like ours rely on their alumni and friends to recognize this and participate in the present and future needs of their school in any way that they can. This provision is made to honor my own experience at GA. It is my way of recognizing Germantown Academy and the important role it has played in my life and the lives of my family.”
